is there a final exam (oral or written) in order to acquire the certificate?
PhD students are allowed to participate but there are no PhD courses offered this year. what can we do to enroll for certificate? can we choose MA courses this academic year?
is there a list of those lectures in the lecture series?
general question: how is a certificate accredited? is it recognised outside ceu?
Is there already a schedule for the courses? I can see the full list of courses but I cannot see in which term they are offered?
sorry, was the question about PhD students answered? I was logged off for a while:(
Which of the courses would be in fall, and which in winter? I cannot see it in the excel document
The course list also includes the source language classes, can they be chosen as electives for the ACRS?
Are the research grants to be decided within the year according to the thesis topic?
When is the deadline to register for the advanced certificate?
I am in the two-year MA in Comparative History after 1500, and my thesis topic focuses on themes in both Judaism and Islam. I was interested in both the Jewish studies program as well as Religious Studies. Is it reasonable to participate in both programs--Jewish Studies and ACRS, or would I have to choose between the two? I have heard that some people have done both in the past.
As a student of the 2year master, we are supposed to take two mandatory courses, and 10 elective courses over the two years, in Spring we should have taken 5 courses at least, you have mentioned that we should take 5 lectures from the lecture series, how the calculations of the number of courses go then? And when the courses will be included in the fall schedule for each department?
If we enroll in the ACRS in addition to a one-year MA but we determine that the workload is too big, can we turn the ACRS classes into an audit?
I'm in one-year MA in Comparative History and my research topic is related to both Religious Studies and East Mediterranean Studies and I'm interested in taking both ACRS and EMS. Is it reasonable to pursue both at the same time?
I’m in the two-year master’s in IR. I know that not that many classes (if any) from the IR department are cross-listing with the ACRS. Is it possible to count the credits I will get throughout the program as credits for my degree? (Since IR students can a specific number of credits outside of their department) Or is the ACRS totally independent from the IR degree? Thank you in advance!
When is the deadline to apply ACRS program? I’m sorry if it was already answered.
Thank You for the answer!
You just said that people who are not scholarship recipients have the possibility of turning ACRS classes into an audit if the workload is too big. What happens with people who are?
Thank you a lot for your answer!
For SPP students, we have to finalise a group Applied Policy Project in order to graduate. What happens if I do not find other students that are interested in doing the APP on a religion related theme? Do I have to write an extra thesis? If yes, would I get some extra time to finish my masters (having to do the APP and a thesis)? Thank you.
Thank you for the answer!
Thanks a lot for your answer!
Mr Fabiani, is it possible to contact you directly? There is no e-mail given on the website
Thank you very much
How do we chose our ACRS supervisors? Do we chose them depending on our research interest?
If I understood correctly, classes for the MA and classes for ACRS are added onto the same "list" of classes we enroll in.Does that mean that a mandatory class for ACRS can be recognised as an elective class for MA (in that quota of 4 "free" credit points)?
hello and thanks for the presentation! excuse my vague question, but on the website, it says: “ACRS students must write their thesis on a religion related topic” - what does that exactly mean / what are your rules for a thesis to be religion-related? how is this decision made?
Thank You for the answer.
